This site is to introduce other people to the world of drama. Drama is a special thing, it can be used for fun, to let people know how you feel, or many other ways. Just don't let the acting part get to your head. Here is a little history about our class.
In the beginning we were little 6th graders. Not knowing much about acting or anything of that sort. The we took a class called Speech/Communications, which helped us get used to being in front of people we don't know or even if we do know them. We were under instruction of Mrs. Nichols. She was a good teacher, but for personal reasons had to leave us after the first semester. Then we went through a lot of different Speech teachers. Then one day a College Graduate came and got the job of teaching us. Her name was Ms. Wells. She had a big impact on us because she had just graduated from college, acting. We got into debates and learned how to channel our creativity.
The next year we came back to be surprised that we were no longer under the training of Ms. Wells, but we had an even better teacher, Ms. Hannah. She is then started to teach us the art of Drama, and the history of Drama. She tought us how to improvise or think on the spot. We learned how to be very creative, how to mime, and pantomime.
Now we are in Theater, still to Ms. Hannah. We are learning how to further produce our acting skills, and how to get to a higher level of concentration. We are having the time of our lives. |
